Статья о том что можно выбросить из GENERIC ядра FreeBSD 9.0 в случае если вам нужен сервер NAT. ( т.е задача машинки выводить серую сеть LAN в WAN под белым маршрутизируемым адресом.)
Хотя это также справедливо и для других видов серверов под FreeBSD c небольшими изменениями. Вообщем все что из ядра выбрасываю описываю почему поэтому можно использовать как информацию к размышлению при сборке собственного ядра. В самом конце будет опубликовано то что у меня получилось одним куском.
Убираем поддержку IPV6 из ядра ( не вижу в ней необходимости в текущих реалиях и на несколько ближайших лет ) тем более что задача данного сервера таки NAT.
Также SCTP опция работает только с IPV6.
Не планирую монтировать часть ОЗУ ( или виртуальные диски ) как root устройство.
Трассировка процессов не понадобится.
не забывайте – всегда можно глянуть dmesg на предмет ваших устройств и исходя из них удалить не нужное.
отключаем.
